As we have been going to Pre-Martial counseling @shoreline ine_city we have learned so much and can’t wait to dive in more. I read this recently and it really resonated with me as Leighton & I are preparing for marriage.
‘Christian marriages are always in the spotlight and the world is watching. Remember, the health of your marriage and relationships matter. Not only for your sake but the sake of the lost world. Live as a person that will attract people to you and cause your friends, neighbors, coworkers to think, “wow, there is something special about their approach to relationships!”’

That is what we are striving for daily. The constant renewal. Out serving one another and extending grace without reservation. We live to choose a Covenant marriage over a Consumer relationship as much as society tries to pull us towards the latter.

I heard this recently:

As we live in our marriages the world is always redefining what marriage ought to look like. It is imperative that we as believers are rooted in Scripture and allow it to dictate what a godly marriage is supposed to look like as opposed to learning from daytime shows, secular books, and trending philosophies that contradict the Bible.

How true is this? I feel like we can be constantly in battle with what we view as a true relationship but it’s so far removed for Christ. Why would we want to implement that or worse—even want to emulate this? I think this is part of the constant fight for our relationship with God and for the sustainability in our partner. Being able to fill one another’s cup and taking that time of self renewal that is so critical in our personal development with Christ.

Look out for an update video from us soon about what we have learned about the course and the ways we are trying to continue creating an even stronger foundation in the Lord within our relationship.
